Open to all married couples at St Barnabas. Hosted at Bossley Park.
An important day for couples at St Barnabas to check out what God has planned for their marriage.
Over the day we look at:
God’s purposes in marriage and the how they apply
Understanding each other in a marriage relationship
Realigning marriages for ministry
Presenters Jim and Lesley have been married for over 47 years. They have both been involved in teaching the Bible and pastoring people in a number of churches.
What does the day look like?
Couples arrive on their own and sit as couples. Refreshments are on hand and they get to meet Jim and Lesley.
Each person receives their individual packet of material and a copy of ‘Married for God’ if they have not previously obtained one. We recommend each person brings their own Bible.
There is no group discussion but there is ample time for couples to do private assignments which are designed to help them in their understanding of each other. Morning and Afternoon Tea is provided, along with lunch. There is no provision for child minding although new born babies are welcome.
After arriving at 9:00 and going through until 5:00 each couple then goes off on an individual ‘date night’ to round out the day.
Before the day:
Each couple is strongly encouraged to read "Married for God" by Christopher Ash before the day. If you don't have a copy you can request one when registering online.
